We would love to see you at Sunday morning church service! Here is what a typical Sunday looks like at CtK
We use Divine Services for this service. If you grew up Catholic this service is very similar. Music is lead by the Organist and a Cantor.
Bible Study is between the services, located in the Youth Room. Everyone is welcome to attend. Please let the church office know if you need child care.
This service is more of a contemporary service. Music is lead by our Praise band.
We welcome children to be a part of all our services. We have a children's sermon and children's bulletins at both services.
At our 10:30 service for families with infants to 5 year old children, we offer nursery during the whole service if needed but we encourage you to have your children join us for the beginning of the service so they can be a part of the children's sermon. You can take them to the Nursery after the children's sermon, or allow us to guide them to the Nursery Room and we will bring them back into the service during the last worship song.
For families with children in K - 5th Grade we welcome them to join us for Children's Church at the 10:30 service August - June. After the children's sermon, they are led to the Youth Room. They also will join back with you in the sanctuary during the last worship song.
Our unofficial "Cry Room" is outside on the playground for those children needing to get out some energy. We are happy to have a tv outside so you can still view the service.
Christ the King is a place of encouragement for your spiritual growth. We offer powerful worship experiences and have a variety of church services. Christ the King is a part of the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod (LCMS), with deep roots in the Newbury Park, Thousand Oaks, and Conejo Valley communities. We seek to draw people into an ever-deepening relationship with God and one another, within the body of Christ. Our worship is full of praise through the Organist and Cantor, and the Praise band. Our teaching is relevant to today’s world and challenging to the growth of our spiritual walks as forgiven followers of Jesus Christ. We are constantly inspired knowing that God’s Word is applicable to our lives. We seek to be active in demonstrating Christ’s love to everyone, through acts of love and service. That’s why, at Christ the King, we strive to Love God, Love People, and Serve the Community. We invite you to come worship with us!
