In Before Amen, Max Lucado, a self-professed "recovering prayer wimp," reveals his personal struggles with prayer. He will show you how he discovered that prayer is not a privilege for the pious or the art of a chosen few but a simple tool all believers have been given to have a conversation with God. Through the use of a simple, easy-to-remember, pocket-sized prayer that he distilled from the prayers in the Bible, he will lead your church members in building a prayer life that is stronger, better and deeper.
This is a 4-week, all-church Bible study offered at two different times during the week.

It may be hard for you to feel optimistic about the future right now. If you’ve lost a spouse, child, family member, or friend, you’ve probably found there are not many people who understand the deep hurt you feel.
This can be a confusing time when you feel isolated and have many questions about things you’ve never faced before.
“Going to GriefShare feels like having warm arms wrapped around you when you’re shivering.”
GriefShare groups meet weekly to help you face these challenges and move
toward rebuilding your life.
Christ the King currently has a GriefShare support group meeting on Sundays. Contact us for more information.
OWLS
We meet to continue to learn and recall Christian history, Biblical knowledge, and current events that impact senior life style including health and financial challenges. We encourage and support participation in the general activities and ministry of the congregation.
Our Mission ...
Equipping Lutherans to be Gospel-motivated voices For Life.
Our Vision ...
Every Lutheran, both individually and in community, upholding the God-given value of human life and influencing society to do the same.
Our Philosophy ...
Lutherans For Life believes that the Church is compelled by God’s Word to speak and act on behalf of those who are vulnerable and defenseless. The crisis of our times is the repudiation of Biblical truth manifested in the wanton destruction of innocent human life through legalized abortion-on-demand and the growing threat to the lives of others through legalized assisted suicide and euthanasia. Therefore, as Lutherans For Life, we will strive to give a Gospel-motivated witness, to the Church and society on these and other related issues such as chastity, post abortion healing, and family living. We will call God’s people to compassionate action and foster life-affirming alternatives for those facing difficult situations.
